ABOUT THE BENEFITING CHARITY
About Lunches of Love
Lunches of Love at The Harvest Methodist Church is celebrating ten years of service in March 2026. With a simple but vital mission to provide weekend meals for children facing food insecurity in the local community, the ministry currently serves 593 children each week by providing two meals every weekend. Supported by more than 20 dedicated volunteers who pack and deliver meals, the program reaches schools including Scanlan Oaks Elementary, Baines Middle School, Heritage Rose Elementary, and Alridge Elementary. Each meal costs just $1.25 — meaning only $2.50 feeds a child for an entire weekend — and the ministry is fully funded by generous individuals as it continues to grow to meet increasing needs.
